Coronavirus / Covid 19 Update - We are still open

Even when the whole of the Palace Gate Centre was closed, we continued to function throughout.

Covid - the Palace Gate Counselling Service is still OPEN.

For the most part we are working remotely - arranging counselling / therapy sessions via phone and video links. We anticipate that it will be some while before we're able to offer face to face therapy as a routine. However if this is important to you, please do talk to us and we'll help if we can.

Phone us on our usual number 01392 205804 and we will do our very best to help.

- Feel you need help with no long waits?
- Or can't wait any longer for counselling referral in the NHS?
- Has your anxiety got worse due to the current situation with the corona virus?
- Or maybe you have been thinking start counselling for a while, and you feel you may be ready now.

We believe that if you feel you need counselling, then you should have access to help as soon as possible.

Right now, anyone who wants to start therapy will usually be offered a free 30 min Initial Appointment by phone within 1 working day.
Yes.... 1 working day.

People enquiring at the moment are usually able to start therapy within as little as 1 week.

No referral is needed.

Is this for me?

We can feel very anxious about making an appointment for therapy or counselling.

Home. Thoughts about coping 4

These and so many similar thoughts can stop us getting the help we need to improve our life in significant ways.

All counsellors at PGCS are trained professionals, all have received counselling themselves and none will judge you. Our aim is always to treat people with the utmost respect and consideration from the second you reach our door. A special quality of relationship will form the basis of your work with a counsellor and that will be offered in a safe and confidential space.

Donations - help us to help others

We aim to run an affordable service open to everyone and fees are suggested based on a sliding scale of a clients income.

Staff, including the directors are not paid for their work in order to keep costs low enough. We do help a number of people with a very low income and any donations received will enable them to get the support and counselling that they need.

During and after the coronavirus / covid 19 pandemic, we need donations more than ever, and we would be extremely grateful for any donations to support the service.
